Zero Emissions Vehicle

Strive for Zero

A zero-emissions vehicle, or ZEV, is a vehicle that does not emit exhaust gas or other pollutants from the on board source of power. Two types of zero-emissions vehicles exist: battery electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Battery electric vehicles run on batteries that are recharged with electricity. Whereas hydrogen fuel cell vehicles run on electricity from an on board fuel cell using compressed hydrogen. These vehicles must be refuelled with compressed hydrogen.
