Maruti Suzuki Car Testing

Crash Testing

At Maruti Suzuki, each vehicle undergoes rigorous crash tests to ensure protection of the occupants in the event of a crash. Full vehicles, equipped with latest advanced dummies and myriad sensors, are used to evaluate the protection offered by the vehicle structure, safety components and interior parts of the vehicle. Vehicle structure, consisting of an energy absorbing crumple zone and a protected occupant zone, is supplemented by tuned restraint system to offer maximum protection to the occupants.

Tests include: Frontal Impact, Side Impact, Pedestrian Impact, Airbag Sensor Calibration, Low Speed Impact & Rear Impact.
